Loading the Exemplar SPP 2000 with multiple Objectivity clients

We used the "syspic" utility on the Exemplar to monitor the utilization of the 64 nodes in a hypernode during the tests. Before running the tests, syspic showed activity on Nodes 4 and 5 of the "happy00" cluster (user "ask" running multiple tasks). These are shown as green bars (user time) in the syspic display below:

We then started up 64 simultaneous Objectivity database query applications on the happy00 cluster. The syspic display shown below was seen as the applications started up (hence the red bars indicating predominantly kernel time).

Finally, after a few seconds, the syspic display showed full utilization of the spare CPUs by all the query applications (notice that one CPU in Node 0 appears to be unallocated ... the reason for this is not known):
