Vincenzo Week at Caltech, 22nd.-26th. September
Vincenzo Innocente/CMS visited us at Caltech for one week in order to develop and update the CMS H2 test beam OO data analysis software
At the end of the week, the software had been completely updated and was running successfully on Windows/NT
- Latest database from Muon drift tube chamber (DTBX) attached to Caltech federation (total of ~500 Mbytes of data in federation)
- Some problems with VC++ development environment, and some template-related problems
Next steps with this software:
- Install Objy 5.0 with Java beta, migrate to VC++ version 5.0, and test Java interface to the H2 data
- Using some existing modules written by Vincenzo for an earlier version of Iris Explorer, interface IE with the H2 reconstruction code
We discussed at some length the possibility (rather than the dubious merits) of interfacing PAW to the H2 data
