New Configuration - User Node
Once migration of the metadata is completed, the existing 8-processor SMP node will be converted to a User Access Node.
- Provides a “sandbox” for users to access HPSS without additional risk to core HPSS services
- Data access web servers
- HSI - command line interface to HPSS
- SRB - Storage Resource Broker
- Current HPSS metadata disks will provide storage for this node (approx. 45 GB)
Will also provide FTP server for HPSS
